Legal Question in Personal Injury in Massachusetts
Restaurant Negligence
I was served a cup of coffee that was contaminated with Urnex, a coffee equipment cleaner made from Sodium Tripolyphosphate. I went to the emergency room and was told to drink plenty of water and to take Pepcid AC. My stomach was upset for a couple of days but it seems to be better now. Do I have a case against the restaurant?

As long as you can prove the negligent act and have damages, you always have a case. In this case, how do you know about the contamination? What is your prognosis? Any out of pocket costs?? Any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
Re: Restaurant Negligence
You probably do have a claim and would not need to prove negligence, and an experienced lawyer probably could get you a settlement without having to file suit or go to court. The restaurant likely has $5,000 in med pay coverage to pay your bills. You should probably hire a lawyer who knows what to do in this situation to preserve your rights and obtain a recovery for you. Call me if you wish. Regards, John Stewart

You have a case, but the damages from what you said are not too extensive. You should get an attorney and send them a letter of demand, ASAP.
