Legal Question in Personal Injury in Massachusetts

Slipped at home and broke my back

I had a back spasm on my decking and slipped and fell fracturing acutely L-1 and was hospitalized for a week. I did this in Oct 20, 1999 , and I would like to know if I could sue my in laws home owners insurance without my in laws kicking my family out .My husband and I pay rent($100 a week) .It is their house that we live in and we have a basement apartment in the house.If I can do this how much would I recieve?

No where in your facts do you mention how your in laws were negligent. Merely slipping and falling does not mean that you are entitled to anything and if you had a back spasm, I do not see how they can be held responsible for that.
