some1 has been ticked for a negligent homocide charge and is going to the first hearing with the clerk of courts no police report yet..what are some of the scenarios for this charge...the police categorized it as a misdemeanor, but there was a fatality

The clerk determines if there is a reasonable suspicion that a crime was committed and that the person there is the person who may have committed it. It is a very low standard. If they had more evidence, they may just issue a complaint. You do not say what the charge is.
