Legal Question in Personal Injury in Massachusetts

statutes

what are some exceptions to tolling a rape statute? my friend was 21 her assailant 30 and it happened nine or ten years ago, she never told anyone until now. she heard that the person who raped her is suing her because he supposely quit his job because of this. she tried to confront him about the rape but he wouldnt even open his door. she cannot be held liable because he quit his job, can he sue for this? he did something to her. hes coming forward now because she is married and has a home and cars. i told her if she wanted to sue or press charges against him now she couldnt due to the statutes. shes having a breakdown, please answer as soon as possible. thanks

Re: statutes

She can sue for rape if three years has not passed since she "remembered" the injury and if she can proved she repressed it.
