Legal Question in Product Liability in Massachusetts
Allergic Reaction
For 7 yrs. I've been having an allergic reaction from the gloves that I have to wear on the job. I've tried different kinds of gloves that the job has offered, but still come up with reaction. Reaction causes my hands, arms, and over my eyes, to burn, sting, itch, crack, plenty of pain and scarring. I feel that the job seems to think it's from something else. They are sending me for an allergy test. I'm out on worker's comp right now. I don't know what the future holds, but I feel as though this will lead to them firing me. When I am home no reactions like this occur, and when it does, given time spent at home it does heal. As soon as I put my hand in gloves at work, within a couple weeks time, this reaction occurs. I'm just afraid that I'll loose out, and I'm not sure of what direction to take at this time. I love the job that I do, but it's costing me too much pain. I really don't know what to do.

Your plight sounds serious. You may wish to consult an employment attorney and your doctor (possibly even an allegist).
