Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts
Attorney took my money and has not provided the services promised
I met with an attorney and discussed several legal issues which he agreed to represent for an agreed fee. I paid him and since then I have been asking, now demanding to meet with him to find out why he has not done anything he said he was going to do; bring my matter into federal court, (only one thing he did not do among many others) and he shuts his phone off and wont return my many emails demanding a status conference as to where he is and WHY we are not in federal court after 6 months. I have conducted a background check and found many judgments against him and even a bankruptcy. He doesn't seem to have any assets and many bogus LLC's. I am out a huge amount of money and have no way to contact him; his Office is a UPS Post box, no physical address. He has vowed to protect me in emails and taped phone conversations; I am out in the cold alone now with no representation. He made several mild sexual innuendos which I shrugged off thinking maybe it was me but after examining his background check I found he (older African American) was married to a white woman and maybe his advances were real. I am at my wits end and have no idea how to proceed, no other attorney will touch this w/o another substantial fee, and I dont have it any

You should contact the Massachusetts Bar of Board Overseers and file a complaint. They will investigate and assist you in getting your money back.
Your lawsuit has a statute of limitations regardless of the grounds, I would suggest you contact anothr attorney. You can contact the Boston Bar Association or the Massachusetts Bar Association for the name of an attorney or seek one through this site by outlining your facts and needs.

Recording phone calls without the other person's knowledge constitutes illegal wiretapping. A federal crime.
