Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

We bought a house closed in September 2009. This is my husbands and my first home we have ever bought.

Back 2 years ago my mother was very sick. I moved home to care for her and the home, she deeded the house to me and my sister in case of her passing.

Am I eligiable for the First Time Home Buyers credit if her home was deeded to me?

You should speak with your tax specialist. Even if you are not considered a first-time home buyer, your husband may still be able to take advantage of the credit.
