Breaking Apartment Lease

I right now rent an apartment. The lease period is for an year. I have completed 5 months. I am out of job now and wish to break the lease.How can I go about with this?Suggest me some solution please.

I suggest you discuss the issue with your landlord to see if he/she will let you out of the lease. If not, you will be liable to the landlord the month's the apartment remains unrented through the end of the lease. You could offer to assist the landlord to find another tenant. Most lease contain clauses which prohibit the tenant from assigning the lease or subletting to a new tenant without the landlord's approval. If your lease does not contain any such clause, you could find a new tenant to take over the portion of the lease.
