Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts
If my business is in Massachusetts and I am the lien holder and a customer from Texas has a loan and has not paid on it, if I was to file a judgment I would have to file in the state the customer lives in, correct? Or the state the property is located in? I can't file in Massachusetts where my business is located correct?

It depends on the terms of the Loan and the lien and where the security is held. Without reviewing the documentation, no one can be specific about how you need to foreclose on your security. However, it is probably more likely than not if the security is located in Texas you will have to use the Texas courts assuming you need to file a lawsuit.
