Do I have three days to break a lawyer contract I signed a contract online to hire an attorney to help with a mortgage modification

You can fire your attorney at ANY time, and they can generally fire you at any time. You should terminate the representation in writing as soon as possible and request all advanced fees paid. You are entitled to the return of all fees which have not yet been earned.
