Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

Defending my Grandmother

I have reason to believe that my grandmother was decieved after being diaginosed with Alshiemers, and sent to a nursing home, by her own sister! I believe her name was on a piece of property, a house that was jointly owned by the two sisters. I recently found out that the house was sold......my question is.....if there is wrong doing, how do I find out the truth? Do I go to Deeds and see if my grandmothers name was on it, and if so....then what? I know in my heart that in her right mind, my grandmother would have never signed off that property to her sister.

Re: Defending my Grandmother

You start by looking at the deeds recorded on the property. You also check the county of residence for any estate having been filed.

Depending upon the County where the property was located you may be able to look at the deed on line.
