Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

Flood zone code change after over one year of closing

I bought my house over a year ago, in the closing document my flood zone is C.

now my mortgage company just change my property's flood zone code, from C to A, and require me to buy flood insurance.

I check with FEMA, the map was never updated since 1980, so do I have a case to fight back?

Yes, if they are saying you are in A and you are in C, then you have an argument unless they require C range to be insured.

Good Luck
