Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

funding policy for refinancing

my husband and I refinanced our home with United Unified Mortgages of California. The first time we were to close 5-24-03 the notary came to our home unprepared. the next closing was 6-9-03 we signed everything and were told the loan would fund after the 3 day waiting period. It is now 7-14-03 and this has not funded yet I have been recieveing calls from the mortgage co that was suppose to be paid off telling me they will send the credit report out and a possiblity of forclosure if I do not send a payment. I call United Mortgage daily they promise to fund constantly but do nothing Please help my first payment to Unified is scheduled for 8-1-03 but they have not funded Homecoming Financial yet, I cannot afford to pay both a monthly payment Unified has already changed my insurance to show them as lein holder a fact which is making Homecoming very upset they are removed as lien holder yet have not been funded.
