Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts
my girlfriend and I bought a house 3.5 yrs ago. The house was put under her name though. The day we moved in I put 3500 dollars in our new joint account. we have payed all the bills under the account including the mortgage. I alone have payed 30,000 dollars of the mortgage. we got engaged a yr and half ago but now have decided to call it quits. she has agreed to pay me 2500 dollars the money I gave her for the wedding. but not a dime more. she wont give me my 3500 dollars back that I put in there on day1. I feel like I deserve some compensation for the money I put into the house but am scared bc my name Is not on the house. I have all the records of the account can I get more or am I in bad shape

Equitably, you are entitled to get back what you put in. We could file lawsuit for that. You stand to lose $30,000. It is worth it to talk to a lawyer. Feel free to be in touch for a free consultation.
Massachusetts law sometimes creates implied trusts. One of these is when someone contributes money to purchase an asset and the asset is titled in someone else's name. It sounds like this is what happened to you. You should consult an attorney to discuss this in detail.
