Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

My husband and I are getting a divorce. I moved out of the house that is in both of our names. He has defaulted on the home loan and now has abandoned the property for at least one month. He has moved out with his new girlfriend. My question is that can I find a way into the house and retrieve any items from it since he has left? Thanks

It is still your house and if he abandoned it, you can go in and retrieve anything you want.
