Re: Inheritance

It was very generous for a Great Aunt to make a gift to a Great Nephew and his children; persons who would not ohterwise inherit under the law but for her providing for them in her Last Will and Testament. Whether any portion of an inheritance would pass to the deceased beneficiary's widow depends on the structure and wording of the Will left by this Great Aunt. Unless this Will states otherwise, most provide that inheritance would pass to the children of the deceased beneficiary (per stirpes, or by the blood) and if they are not of the age of majority, then the money would be held in trust (managed by a Bonded and insured Trustee)for the childrens' benefit.

Inheritance Issues

The information you provided is incomplete.

From what I can gather, the Will dictates who is entitled to an inheritance. The Will often states what happens if a beneficiary does not survive the time when the maker of the Will dies.

As to what a Widow get, it is also in the Will. If the Widow is an ex-wife, then the Widow may have a problem.

As you can see, the best advice is available after reviewing the contents of the Will.

If you can provide me with more information, then it would be easier to address your questions.
