Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts
I live in a complex where the tenant below me is known to complain and it even got to the point where the tenant before me moved do to the complaints. I have been called to the managment office twice due to complaints of noise but I do not make noise...how do I protect myself.

Ask the management to put a noise detector in your apartment to see if you make noise beyond normal use. Put a denial of any excessive noise in writing to the management company.
State that you have been told the prior tenant was harrassed by this tenant and moved. Ask that they investigate as they deem appropriate and get back to you with a report which is substantiated by independent proof, meaning someone other than the complaining tenant.
