Neighbors encroaching
Neighbors want to build within 10 ft of our side yard boarder instead of 12 ft so they need a variance. We oppose - what kind of evidence to support our position would be expected from us at the hearing.

Read the town zoning bylaw to determine what the set back distances were established to protect and gather evidence as to how varying from them will be detrimental.
Consider retaining an attorney to more impartially and professionally present your case and perhaps that of similarly situated abutters.
