Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts
property lines
We have a wooden fence that we can only access one side from our neighbors' side. What rights do we have to just go over there (a lawyer's office) to clean and stain our fence without conferring with her? We obviously do not get along. Thank you

Re: property lines
While the expression "good fences make good neighbors" comes to mind, I think it would still make sense to try to work things out with your neighbor. Certainly, your neighbor should appreciate that you are attempting to maintain the fence in good condition, which should reflect positively on both your property and hers. It would be best to coordinate with her to cause the least disturbance.
