Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

Purchase & Sales Extension

I am in the procees of puchasing a house and the builders file for a extesion of the purchase & sale(original date of closing July16 extended to July 29). Since that time the builders have not completed any more of the house and it does not look like they will complete the house by the required time. I have given my landlord notice and if I do not close by the end of the month, I will not have a place to live. I will also lose ny sixt day lock on my mortgage and would not be able to afford the house with the new mortgage rates. Is there any action that I can take against the builder if they do not complete the house on time?

I apologize for this reply being so late. A professional would not venture to render an opinion in a transaction based upon a contract (in this case your P&S) without first reviewing the contract. telephone (781) 593-7379, fax (781) 593-7348
