Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts
Quitclaim Deeds
My elderly mother has asked me to add my name to the deed to her house in case she should become ill. Does this involve a quitclaim deed, and if so, how do I go about filling one out?

Re: Quitclaim Deeds
It's not complicated to do but it is trickly. I'd recommend getting a lawyer to do it- it should not cost more than $100 to prepare the deed. You will also have to pay a recording fee at the registry of deeds to record the deed.
