Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

Real Estate Trusts

My finace and his ex-girlfriend, created a trust for a rental property they owned jointly, well the deed went into the name of the trust, and his ex-girlfriend is named the trustee and my finance believed his was a beneficiary. How would we find out? The registry of deeds has the trust document recorded but where would the beneficiaries be recorded or doucmented??

Mainly we are asking because she has sold this property without my finance's knowledge, but I don't think she can legally do that.

Thanks!

Re: Real Estate Trusts

The Trust document itself should list the beneficiaries. If the entire trust is not recorded, then your boyfriend should have a copy of the document, if he doesn't the attorney who drafted it should.
