Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts

My rights as a tenant vs. an occupant.

Im a tenant that let a person move in with me.

Now I want him out of the house. He's a drug user, he tried to move in a homeless woman and he has overdosed in my home. and on several occasions I had to call the police... Ive told him many time if these disturbances persist I want him out.

Im at the end of my rope. Im very distraught and i hope you can help me as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Re: My rights as a tenant vs. an occupant.

Do you fear for your safety? Really?

Your rights are pretty clear. There are different ways to get him out.

There's a special law expediting evictions in drug-related cases.

There are other measures that you could take to

get him out.

If you're afraid, you might need a restraining order, if that will help.

If the police cart him and his drugs away one day, he could end up with a new address quite quickly.

Please do not pass my name along to him; I don't know him, I have nothing against

him personally, and I don't need some stranger extracting revenge upon me or my

family for giving free advice to a person in need. Don't quote me either, please, as what I've told you should be kept quiet until the

time you go to actually use it, and you SHOULD use an attorney if you go the eviction route.

Go see a lawyer, please. (Where do you live?)
