satilitte dish
My neighbor installed a second satilitte dish close to my property. after installation he cut in half my 40 year old shrubs, trespassed in the rear at the 1st dish location and cut more than 5' over the property line. what is the set back requirements for a stand alone dish and what recourse do I have for destroyed personal property and loss of privacy. Prior to destruction of the hedge shrub I had almost total privacy, the neighbor now views directly into my windows

You have an action for trespass and likely could collect for the damage to the value of your bush. If there is a setback requirement for dishes, it would be in your local bylaws. Your building inspector for the town you live in could tell you if there is a setback for such equipment.

You should retain an attorney as you likely have an action for trespass, damage to your shrubs and for an injunction to remove the dish if it is on your property. Good Luck!
