Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Massachusetts
I sold my home six months ago, the law office who drew up the deed for my call today to say that there was an error in the description and that they have drawn up a new deed at no cost to me and that I should come over ASAP to sign this new deed, am I required by law to sign this deed?
The new current owners of the home I sold are currently in the process of selling the property, this is why they want the new deed signed.

You would be a fool not to sign this ASAP.
Yes. You are required to sign the corrected deed for two reasons.
One: At the closing there was a standard form letter which stated that all parties agree to sign whatever documents are necessary to correct any errors.
Two: If the deed is not corrected, then the sale of the home was defective and you took the money anyway.
