First of all, congratulations on your victory in the Superior Court. You have some collection options and may want to consider hiring an attorney. You have the right to file suit on your judgment and use discovery to inspect the judgment debtor's finances. Assuming you can determine where the judgment debtor works or lives, you can also garnish wages, file liens against any property owned by him or her, and other tools. Sometimes collections can be more challenging than the underlying suit. Please feel fee to contact our office if you would like some assistance. Most collections are handled on a contingent fee basis.

Congratulations on the judgment. Once the judgment is entered, the Defendant has 30 days to file an appeal. Assuming there is no appeal, the Defendant needs to arrange to make a payment. Once the appeal period is done, you can subpoena the Defendant for financial examination. You can make a request for information once the judgment is entered but it is not likely you will get response prior to the end of the appeal period.

You can seek a writ of attachment against his home or bank account or brokerage accounts. You can seek to garnish the Defendants wages as well. If you do not have an attorney, I would consult with one. Most collection attorneys work on a contingent fee basis.

Feel free to contact me.
