Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Massachusetts

Harassment by co worker

I have been since November been harassed by a co worker where I was working. She would do things that were incorrect, she refused to complete her daily job, and she would call on my boss to correct me. I was the manager of a school cafeteria and I was removed from that postion not because of my record as a manager but because this girl decided that she didnot like me and was going to get me fired. I was not fired but demoted [losing the chance to ever be a manager again]. My pay rate has also decreased by almost $30.00 a day. The director decided that because there were many minor complaints that I was never told of that she was removing me from a position I had held for almost 4 years. I have worked for the school cafeteria program for over 18 years and feel that this is an embrassment to me and even though I had union representation I don't think that everything was explained properly and when I tried to speak I was told to be quiet. I feel that my right were voided and that my co worker recieved no repremand at all. Where do I stand, I donot know but and I have not idea where I will be sent in September; I have many questions and I have been told just to forget the whole thing. Do I have a problem or not?

If you are in union, file grievance and insist that union go through every appeal level. Your situation is governed by your collective bargaining unit whrein you give up the right to bring individual civil lawsuits.
