Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Massachusetts

Paid on Different Payroll Accounts

I was employed for a small Grocery store. The man that owns this store also owns another company which is a Trucking Co.. Nothing to do with each other, just the same Owner.Whenever there were not enough funds to be covered for payroll, he would pay the employees that worked at the Grocery store with the Trucking payroll. It is stated on the check stub. Can it OR is it said that we worked for this trucking company?? We were on the payroll.

Thank You
