Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Massachusetts

My neighbor, who I thaught was just my friend, is stalking me. He is a gay male who I assaulted in the past for stalking me. I called the cops, and I somehow was arrested because I had him pinned down in my room as I waited for the cops. He told the cops we were lovers and said I had hit him, when I was the one who called the cops. I'm planning on moving to another location soon, do you have any advice.

There is no civil remedy for sexual harassment in general. However, there are laws against criminal stalking.
If he is contacting you, calling you, or visiting your property in a threatening manner after you have asked him to stop, you might want to consider contacting the police and perhaps requesting a stayaway order.
If you are planning on moving, my advice would be to keep your new location from your neighbor and see if the harassment stops. This is your best alternative.
If you find that you will be staying at your current location, you might want to consider obtaining a restraining order. In order to obtain a restraining order, you will need to prove that you are or were involved in a close relationship with him and that you are in apprehension of immediate harm.
If possible, you should contact an attorney to learn more about the possibility and legal ramifications of a restraining order before taking any action.
