Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Massachusetts
how much time do i have to file a suit
I am wondering how long I have to file a sexual harrasment suit in August of last year I worked at a company ansd was being harrased by an other employee and I went to all the supervisers in a row as I was told at my orientation and they all dismissed it and laughed it off I did not file at that time because I had just had a child and was pregnanty again and was very emotional about this so I am wondering if I am still able to file now

Unfortunately, you only have 6 months to file a complaint in Massachusetts. That is, 6 months from the MOST RECENT act of harassment, whenever that occurred. If something has happened in the last 6 months which is sufficiently related to the harassment that was happening last year (i.e. same person/people), then you may be able to bootstrap all of the "old" harassment onto the "new." Also, if you've been retaliated against in any of the terms and conditions of your employment by the company within the last 6 months because you complained last year, you can sue for that (even if the harassment stopped a year ago).

If more than 300 days has passed you may be out of luck. If you work for the same company and there has been any other harassment within 300 days or any adverse employment decision that changed the terms of your employment then you may have a claim. If you left the employer it depends on when you left and under what circumstances. If you left because they did not treat your complaint seriously and work got too stressful, you may have a claim. Call the MCAD (Massachusetts Commission AGanst Discrimination) listed in the blue pages of your phone directory and you should also call a lawyer.
