Legal Question in Social Security Law in Massachusetts
I am on SSDI and SSI and own my own home; free of any mortgage or encumbrances. Can I add a friend onto my deed, as joint tenants with rights of survivorship, without losing my SSI?

Please don't do that without speaking with a lawyer first! Regardless of SSDI and SSI, transferring to your friend will be a gift of half the value of your home.
