Legal Question in Tax Law in Massachusetts

Income tax law as it relates to members of the clergy

I am a recently ordained minister, and I am curious about the effects being ordained will have upon my current tax status. I am a full time member of the clergy, and I work a full time job. I am not a home owner, but I do rent. I am not paid or compensated by any church or religious organization. The entirety of my income comes from my full time employment. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What's your full-time job? Is it working for the church? Do you

turn over your paycheck to the church? Do you make collections

for your church? What church do you belong to?

Answer these at [email protected] and I'll write back

again.
