ITIN-Corp.

I want to open a corporation. I already

have a ITIN. Could I use it to claim my

taxes for the corp.?

Is that anything else that should be

done for not have problem with the

IRS?

Well, first you need to file the proper incorporation papers with the secretary of state. That will give life to the corporation as an entity. Then you would need to obtain a Federal Tax ID number (FEIN) for it, which is different than the ITIN. ITIN is mainly for nonresidents who don't have an SSN but are required to file tax returns. When you apply for the FEIN and specify the legal structure of your entity, you will be advised on what your filing requirements are with the IRS.
