Power of Attorney
I am joining the Peace Corps and I would
like to make my father my agent while I
am away.. to handle my financial affairs.
How do I go about doing so?

Appointing an agent is a relatively quick matter, however, there is distinct language needed for handling IRS transactions. A power of Attorney for this should cost approximately $75.00.

You need a Durable Power of Attorney, signed by both parties and notarized.
