Perhaps you could call the nearest inspection station for an appointment and ask them to email or fax to you a confirmation of the appointment that you could carry with you in your vehicle as proof of your appointment should you get stopped by the police enroute.

It depends on how old your inspection sticker is. It is likely that if you drive directly to get it inspected and if you get stopped on the way explain what you are doing to the officer. If you get a ticket you can appeal it and bring in proof that you had your car inspected. There is a chance you will be found not responsible. Jessica
