Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

In 1991 my mom passed away and her lawyer took care of the paperwork and kept it in his safe. He has since got into some sort of legal trouble and is no longer in business. I need to get the paper work from him regarding my mom - how do I find it?

Your mother's estate should have long been completed. You go to the Probate court for the county in which your mother died and request the file and copy the documents you need from there. Otherwise you need to write to the attorney. You can check with Bar and see if they have a current address for him. You can do that online.
