Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

My 94 year old aunt passed away on 3/25/10 . She had a hand witten last will and testament which i found under her bed. In the mean time , 3 reletives of mine emptied out her bank accounts and ,Took all but a few belongings and when I mentioned the will, I was told it wasn't worth the paper it was written on! Even though she signed it dated it ect. What can be done about the actions of these 3 individuals?

file the will and seek an court order recovering the assets for disposition. However, the cost of a Will contest, which they will likely do, may be expensive. So unless the amounts are reasonably large, it may not be worth doing anything about it.

I suggest you contact an attorney to discuss it ASAP.

I am sorry for your loss of your Aunt.

Retain an attorney to review the will for validity and perhaps to petition the Probate court to appoint you or some other suitable person to administer your Aunt's estate and seek to recover any of her assets that may have been wrongfully taken.

Good Luck!
