Assets after death

Are furniture and the other assorted articles in a person's house considered assets after their passing, from an executor perspective?

Yes. These are personal property and will pass according to the will, if there is one.

Yes, they are personal property and the Will, if there is one should indicate how they are to be treated. Generally, however, these raise more emotional issues than monetary ones.
