Does a benefit/fundraiser become part of the deceasts estate, or is it separate due to that it is funds received after death.

by definition any assets received after death are part of the estate. This is if I understand your question.

My thinking is that if funds are owed to the deceased due to some contract/agreement/transaction that took place during his or her life, the money would be part of the estate.
