Didn't get a chance to read Mother's Will
Hello, My Mom died a couple years back and neither me or my sister's and brother got a chance to read my Moms will before my Dad got it and transfered all the CD's and other stuff to his name. I am wondering if it is still possilbe to get a copy of the will from the Plymouth County probate court of Massachusetts. My Dad did not even mention anything that she wished for us and since has kinda clamed up about the whole matter. Any information on this matter would be appreciated, Thank you ,--name removed--B

If the will was filed in probate court, it is a public document. However, if you were an adult when your mother died, you should have been given notice of the filing of the will. Not all assets are subject to a will as joint bank accounts and other joint assets usually go directly to the survivor.
