Does an executor have a (legal and/or ethical) responsibility to answer questions posed by her siblings (pertaining to our Dad' estate i.e. the house, land, stock portfolio, and expenses)?

Joseph Murray Joseph M. Murray, Esq.

My condolences at your loss.

The attorney you retain to administer his estate will advise that you must file a true accounting to be served on all potential heirs.

If your Dad is still alive and has merely named you as his potential executor, you have no obligation to share any information during his lifetime.

Good Luck!
