Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

Executrix Fees

My aunt is the Executrix for my father's will.

She has lost 4 weeks of work and now is concerned

if she will be reimbursed sufficiently to cover

her time and expenses.

As an Executrix, does she receive a percentage on the sale of the home?

If so, what is the percent received for homes selling

in the 01453 area?

Re: Executrix Fees

Executrix is entitled to a reasonable hourly fee and reimbursement of expenses but not a percentageof the sale of the house. Fees are subject to objections of heirs and creditors of the estate.

Executrix can be reimbursed for all her expenses. Usually does not get a percentage of the sale of the house, but possibly some money for her time spent as long as it is reasonable and the heirs assent.
