If you are a beneficiary of a trust, the trustee has a duty to share that information with you. You should ask your uncle outright if there is a trust and if you are named in it. Even if you are not entitled to money until a certain age, he should let you know. If you are not named in the trust, he has no duty to show it to you. You could also talk with whoever told you about the trust. How does that person know? Does that person have a copy of the trust? Can that person intervene with your uncle on your behalf?

If your grandparents had wills, you could also look in the files at the probate court where your grandparents lived at the time they died. Their wills, if any, will be on file there. The wills may reference the trusts you were told about. If all their assets were already in trust, however, their wills would not need to be filed with the probate court.
