Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

we hired attorneys to handle my deceased sister estate (no will a sudden death) over 1 year ago,we have paid them in excess of 70k, the estate is only worth 130k total, at the 11th hour checks were made out to siblings they called and said there was and irs problem(no money owed) non filing, shouldn't have this been the first thing done? they have over the last year cost us thousands on the sale of her condo, by trying to block it , what is are recourse we truly feel they have misused and taken an crazy amount of money and nothing is settlted. what is our recourse,how can we stop this injustice? we live in n.c and they are taking full advantage of this

It is really impossible to tell what is going on here and give you any actionable advice based on the information provided. Your recourse really depends upon where you are in the process of administering your sister's estate and the state of any real estate sales.
