Re: home remortgage

My condolences upon your loss of your husband.

Retain an attorney to assist wirth the probate of your late husband's estate which will clear title to the property.

Good Luck!

File a certified copy of his death certificate with the Registry of Deeds. I assume title was held as tenants by the entirety.

In Massachusetts you don't remove a deceased person from a deed. Title transfers at time of death as a result of the death. If you show your deed to a lawyer, a lawyer can explain how to "clear" title as a result of your husband's death.
