Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

inherited a truck

My girlfriend passed away last Dec I was willed her truck I could not get ahold of the executrist of the will. I did see the lawyer and he said that I would receive the truck shortly. A new lawyer was hired , I just was asked to pick up the truck, I did and whoever was driving it got into an accident the left side is damaged. Do I have any rights on this?

The executor of the estate has a duty to the people who inherit under the will to protect the estate's property. You may have a case if you can show that the executor failed to protect your property.

You should meet with a litigation attorney to review your case more closely.
