Re: Legitimate claim?

Generally, you have no claim on an ex-spouse's estate after the divorce. If your divorce agreement required that your ex-spouse maintain life insurance or a pension with you as a beneficiary, you may have a claim for those funds.

I would be happy to assist you in determining what, if any, claim you may have.

Re: Legitimate claim?

Nobody has a claim to your estate until you have passed away.

Until then, you have every right to tailor an estate plan that suits your wishes and the needs of your family.

A will is revoked when a person gets married. It would be wise to speak with an attorney today.

If you would like your current estate plan reviewed by an attorney, or if you would like to speak to an attorney about developing one, please contact me.
