Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts
Mother died intestate 3 years ago. The house is in her name. My dad died 50 years ago. My sister died 7 yrs ago. Its just my brother and I. Do we split the house 50/50 or does my sisters kid also becomes a heir??

You really need to sit down with an attorney and review your family tree and any deeds, wills, and other important documents. The answer to your question is going to depend, with regard to each of the people you mentioned above, (1) what form of ownership they held, (2) whether they had a will, (3) what relatives were living at the time they passed away, and (4) whether any of them deeded their interested to anyone else while they were living.
