Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

I have recently received a check from my Grandfather's trust fund nine months after his death. I remember seeing the trust document before his death. It stated that I would receive half of 33.3% along with my sister. I would get half of it upon first disbursement and the other half at age 35. I am 29 years old. Nothing was mentioned of the trust until eight months after the funeral, when I called my Aunt and told her I saw my name on the document. Then things started moving and I received a check a few weeks later. The amount was a little disappointing.

I inquired with the financial firm that distributed my check about an addition check when I turn 35. Our client service manager informed me that they were only working with a few amendments and have never seen the original trust. They recommended that I contact my father and Aunt. They ended up calling them first to notify them of my call. My relatives are very upset with my inquiry. Isn't it unlawful to separate the amendments of a trust from the original? The separation of the amendments from the original, the client service managers phone call, me having to inquire first and then receiving a check, have given me suspicions. Is there anything I can do?
