What is the time frame for a family member to sell thier home to a family member before going into a nursing Home. And can the nursing home take the house from that other person for monies owed?

Generally there is a 5 year look back period. There are very few exceptions.

There is a very general 5 year "look back" period, but it is actually an extremely complicated situation that requires an attorney experienced in medicaid planning. The most important thing to know is that any transfer can have uninteded and serious consequences. It is best to confer with an attorney first.
